Eagle Beach
Eagle Beach is typically the first beach that comes to mind when you think of the best beaches in Aruba. As mentioned above, it’s consistently ranked as the top beach in the Caribbean and among the top five in the world. Known for its vast stretch of white sand and the famous wind-sculpted fofoti trees that are an icon on the island, it’s beautiful with plenty to do.
Palm Beach
Palm Beach is known as being a resort area in Aruba, lined with bars and restaurants. The beach here boasts calm waters and powdery sands, making it ideal for swimming and sports such as paddle boarding. You’ve got plenty of choices when it comes to places to eat, and if you want to experience some of Aruba’s best nightlife, either hang until the sun goes down, or head back to this strip later in the day – you won’t be disappointed.
Baby Beach
Located on Aruba’s southern coast, Baby Beach is one of the island’s most family-friendly destinations – hence the name. This crescent-shaped lagoon is famous for its shallow, calm waters, which remain gentle thanks to the protected bay, so ideal for taking little ones in without it being rough. Beginner snorkellers also enjoy Baby Beach as the water is calm, clear and there’s a range of marine life to see. The beach’s tranquil setting and beautiful turquoise lagoon make it feel quite different from the resort-lined beaches in the north of the island.
Arashi Beach
Situated near the California Lighthouse at Aruba’s northern tip, Arashi Beach is a favourite among locals and visitors looking for excellent snorkelling opportunities. The beach offers clear water, soft sand, and a quieter atmosphere than Palm Beach or Eagle Beach, so perfect if you are looking to relax away from the crowds, or get a more authentic Caribbean beach experience. Thanks to its location on Aruba’s western coast, it’s also a great spot to watch the sunset – why not bring a picnic to watch the sun go down?
Mangel Halto Beach
Often considered one of Aruba’s hidden gems, Mangel Halto in Pos Chiquito offers a completely different beach experience. Surrounded by mangroves and away from the island’s main tourist areas, this peaceful spot is ideal for snorkelling or diving, as well as stand-up paddleboarding and sea kayaking. This beach in Aruba features a wooden sun deck, small pier, and public shaded palapas (straw huts) to escape the direct heat and soak up the atmosphere.
Boca Catalina
Boca Catalina is a small beach located between Malmok and Arashi beach. This secluded spot is most well known for its snorkelling with countless fish species and you might see turtles too. You can also swim out to Tres Trapi beach, another fantastic snorkelling spot and the kelp fields. Be sure to bring snorkelling gear with you as there aren’t any shops in the vicinity to purchase it.
Rodgers Beach
Located close to Baby Beach, Rodgers Beach often gets overlooked by visitors, so is less crowded. This beautiful stretch of sand offers a more local feel than some of Aruba’s better-known beaches and is ideal for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle. Adjacent to the beach is a local diving shop where you can rent snorkel and diving gear, as well as a shower and restaurant.
Boca Grandi
For something completely different, head to Boca Grandi on Aruba’s eastern coast. Unlike the calm beaches found elsewhere on the island, Boca Grandi faces the open ocean and is known for strong winds and rolling waves. This beach in Aruba is known for its kitesurfing (only advised for advanced surfers) and isn’t recommended for swimming.
