Caribbean Month

The Caribbean is Calling..

September is celebrated as Caribbean Month in the UK Market by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) with the aim of highlighting the diversity of the Caribbean, inspiring holidaymakers about the region and training the trade to encourage engagement and bookings during this key period.

To kick start the celebrations, the CTO has coordinated a number of events and activities including an integrated consumer campaign alongside headline partner BA Holidays and destination partners Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Grenada, Jamaica, St Kitts and Tobago. The campaign will include London Metro Cover Wraps, Adverts across the Evening Standard and Metro, London Underground Digital Elevator Panels and a number of adverts on the Mail Online.

For trade engagement, travel agents and tour operators can join the CTO’s Award Winning Caribbean Roadshows in Nottingham (10 September), Leeds (11 September) and the grand finale in London on 18 September. A number of Caribbean suppliers will be joining these roadshows including, Selling Travel (Media Partner), Advantage Management Group, Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas, Barbados Beach Club (SilvaLining), The Bahamas Tourist Office, Belize Tourism Board, British Airways, Cara Hotel Marketing, Cayman Islands Department of Tourism, Discover Dominica Authority, Group Promotions, Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board, Nevis Tourism Authority, Resort Marketing International, Sandals Resorts, St.Kitts Tourism Authority, Sunsail, Tobago Tourism Agency and the Turks & Caicos Islands Tourist Board. As well as the launch of the new Caribbean MICE Guide, there is the opportunity to connect and network with key decision makers in the Caribbean tourism industry on 17 September at the CTO UK Chapter Social.
Collectively the CTO and its Caribbean partners will be hosting a number of activities and events in September to showcase Brand Caribbean.
